Hunting is what Faunafrika is about. Man, the hunter, testing his skills against that of the most cunning of animals. There are 65 species available which are hunted on more than 1540 000 acres of prime hunting area which we lease all over Southern Africa. In April 1991, the new world record Kudu was taken only a few yards from the lodge and within the last season, Rhino, Bush buck, Bush pig and Leopard records were broken. Faunafrika offers the greatest variety of indigenous species in any one country in the world, not to mention the Big Five.

Bow Hunters and Wing Shooters

Faunafrika offers some of the finest Wing Shooting in Africa. We are licensed and equipped to offer the serious Bow Hunter a memorable and exceptional hunting experience.

Hunting season and duration – The hunting season is from February to November. Special hunts may be arranged outside these dates. Each hunt is planned to suit the personal requirements of the hunter, which normally runs from 7 to 21 days.

Weather and clothing

Days are usually mild to warm, however the early morning and the evenings can be chilly. A daily laundry service is provided and hunters

need not bring unnecessary clothing.

Hunting areas

Most species can be taken on our Conservancy Areas in the famous Savannahs of the Limpopo Valley in the Limpopo Province. The big game hunters of Africa traditionally hunted this area for many years. Our concessions in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique have some of the finest hunting available.
